ASG mission statement

"Through sharing information and coordinating activities we were able to provide real-time support on issues such as visas, on the ground resources, clarity about procedures, accurate and reliable information about flights, roads and borders, refugee assistance in other countries and other issues."

Afghanistan Support Group (ASG) is a group of concerned friends and colleagues who have lived and worked in Afghanistan for many years and have a strong community based upon good old-fashioned relationships of trust, most of which were forged over many years on the ground in Afghanistan.

Our main mission is to support Afghans in Afghanistan as well as those who have been, or will be, resettled abroad. Our focus is humanitarian in nature and we do not advocate any particular political or philosophical point of view.

We were launched during the height of the political upheaval in 2021 and immediately provided a platform for Afghans in need of solving tangible and life-threatening problems and challenges. Through sharing information and coordinating activities we were able to provide real-time support on issues such as visas, on the ground resources, clarity about procedures, accurate and reliable information about flights, roads and borders, refugee assistance in other countries and other issues.

We have decades of experience working in Afghanistan on all levels:  UN, NGO, USAID, DFID, EU, Political, and Media. We move quickly to connect and coordinate activities for people in need, unhindered by the burdensome organizational structure and red tape that most organisations face. We have the unique ability to connect and mobilize a wide range of support and resources to address life-threatening issues that affect Afghans right now.

Welcome!
